Challenge
During the internship, the key challenge was to automate and optimize data processing tasks across multiple financial analysis modules, including Bank Statement Analysis, GST Analysis, and the Loan Origination System (LOS). The existing processes involved extensive manual intervention for data extraction, validation, and transformation, leading to inefficiencies and slower decision-making. The objective was to design Python-driven automation workflows that could ensure accuracy, scalability, and faster data insights.
Solution
To address these challenges, Harshit developed and implemented Python-based automation scripts leveraging libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and OpenPyXL for data handling and regular expressions (RegEx) for text-based data extraction. He also integrated data validation checks to improve accuracy and consistency across financial reports.
In the Loan Origination System (LOS) module, Harshit contributed to automating the applicant data verification process and report generation, significantly improving turnaround time. For GST and bank statement analysis, he implemented structured data parsing logic and summary generation scripts to streamline reporting and analytics.
Results
The automated processes reduced manual effort by nearly 65%, minimized data inconsistencies, and improved the accuracy of financial insights. The Python-driven modules contributed to faster analysis cycles, enabling the team to focus on higher-level model development and client delivery. Harshit’s proactive approach and technical precision played a vital role in enhancing overall system efficiency and scalability.
